About us

The couple's counselor for organizations and their AI.

Your people and this technology are in a long-term relationship now, whether anyone planned it or not. Somebody has to help both sides listen. That's us.

The belief under everything

Everybody learns.

Two words backed by decades of conviction.

Everyone can learn: The intern learns. The CEO learns. The board member who signs the checks and the front-desk coordinator who greets the visitors: everybody can learn.

Everyone is expected to learn: Learning is hard, and if there isn't some struggle, it's not effective learning. Opting out of trying simply because a new workflow is uncomfortable or a colleague thinks differently is not acceptable.

Everyone will be enabled to learn: The moment an organization decides that learning belongs to some people and not others, it leaves capability on the table and builds inequity into its bones. Usually, the people it counts out are the ones closest to the actual work.

AI has made this belief urgent. The technology is new to everyone, which means every workplace is full of beginners wearing expert titles. That's an awkward thing to admit and a wonderful thing to design for. When the whole building gets to be a learner, nobody has to fake it and the change becomes unifying.

The story

Betting on people since 2019.

Learn to Scale started as a learning-and-development consultancy doing what great L&D shops do: building trainings that people actually remember, coaching leaders through the conversations they'd been dodging, and treating the workshop room like a stage that deserves a good show.

Dan once ran a new-hire onboarding from a hotel pool in Aruba, quarantined on his own honeymoon because his wife had COVID. The session was on the calendar and a few hundred people were expecting it, so the session happened. That is roughly the standard around here.

Then AI arrived in everyone's workplace at once, invited or not. We watched smart, capable people freeze up around a technology their leadership had already bought, and we noticed almost nobody was explaining any of it in the language of an actual Tuesday at work. Somebody needed to be the translator. Everything we know about how adults really change, pointed at the most disorienting workplace shift in a generation.

We're still an L&D shop at heart; the subject matter just got more interesting.

How we operate

We'll say this in front of your board.

Humans Rule.

The tool doesn't get blamed. Whoever signed off understood it first, and making sure of that is our job.

If your kid can't follow it, we're not done.

A consultant who can't explain it at your kitchen table doesn't understand you yet.

Nobody transforms in six weeks.

Real change is risk, lessons, and recalibration over time. The brochure version never survives next quarter.
